As part of the Arizona Multihousing Association’s ongoing commitment to improving affordable housing and community safety, the Arizona Multihousing Charitable Foundation (AMCF) has awarded over $200,000 in grants to support initiatives in Phoenix and Tucson. In Phoenix, UMOM New Day Centers and the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center (SARRC) each received $46,870. UMOM aids nearly 700 homeless women and children and manages 550 affordable housing units, while SARRC will use its grant to strengthen its First Place Transition Academy, which helps individuals with autism develop independent living and job skills. In Tucson, the HSL Center of Opportunity was awarded $75,250 to provide comprehensive services for the homeless, including shelter, food, and addiction recovery. Additionally, Interfaith Community Services (ICS) received $29,140 to help seniors and individuals with disabilities remain safe and independent in their homes.
