The city of Phoenix and a coalition of public and private partners have broken ground on The Moreland, a 237-unit affordable and workforce housing complex at 325 E. Moreland St. in downtown Phoenix. The project will be built in two phases, with the first 132 units expected to be complete by December 2027 and the remaining 105 apartments beginning construction around 2028. Residents will have access to on-site supportive services including academic, career and health coaching alongside amenities like fitness centers and youth spaces.
