Three large student-oriented apartment projects near the University of Arizona have been canceled or postponed, marking the first time in a decade that no new student housing is planned in Tucson. Rising construction costs, higher interest rates, declining UA enrollment, and softer rents have shifted the market toward renters and stalled new development.
