Arizona’s affordable housing tax credit is set to expire this year. Hobbs wants an extension

Gov. Katie Hobbs is urging lawmakers to extend Arizona’s affordable housing tax credit program, which is set to expire at the end of 2025 without legislative action. Established in 2021, the program has supported more than 1,600 affordable housing units and is seen as vital gap funding for developers. Hobbs is advocating for its permanence amid ongoing budget negotiations with the GOP-led Legislature.
