Congress Passes Housing Credit Provisions to Finance 1.22 Million Affordable Homes

Congress has passed a landmark reconciliation bill that permanently increases housing credit allocations and lowers the bond financing threshold, paving the way for 1.22 million new affordable homes over the next decade. The provisions are expected to generate nearly 2 million jobs, $207 billion in wages and business income, and $71 billion in tax revenue.
