Creation Equity eyes revised timeline for Heritage District project in Gilbert

A project that’s been in the works for years in Gilbert’s Heritage District that would bring 288 apartments to the now-bustling downtown headed back to the Gilbert Planning Commission on Jan. 3 with some tweaks and possibly an updated timeframe. Creation Equity has approval to develop 12 acres on the southwest corner of Juniper Avenue and Gilbert Road, but it now wants to do that in two phases. The new plan is to build retail, multifamily and common area open spaces first, with offices and a parking garage later. A hotel could come in either phase.
