Tucson is the state’s leader in transforming old hotels and office buildings into housing, thanks in large part to the conversion of the Benedictine Monastery into a 292-unit complex. Two hotels are in the works to become apartments as well, with two more possibly in the pipeline. And the plug was pulled on a planned mixed-use tower at 75 E. Broadway, now that offices are so 2019.
