Fast-growing Buckeye’s land, water rights deal still not enough to quench need

Buckeye’s city council approved $80 million for a lot with groundwater rights to help it grow into its need for development, which so far includes 27 master planned communities and two planning areas that would add 872,000 residents. However, this deal won’t be enough to supply the expected growing population, so the city continues to look into other options.
