(Gilbert Council Narrowly Approves Project With More Than 1,000 New Homes — April 11, 2026)

The Gilbert Town Council narrowly approved the Harvest Grove master-planned development after builder Lennar Homes removed all apartment units from the original plan. The revised project will deliver 1,106 single-family homes across 311 acres in south Gilbert, with townhomes starting around $450,000 and a Fry’s grocery store anchoring 35 acres of commercial space. Young residents showed up in force to support the project, citing the need for attainable first-time homebuyer options in a town where many of their peers have been forced to rent or leave.
