Gilbert Council Rejects Massive Residential Plan

The Gilbert Town Council voted 4–3 to deny rezoning for a 311-acre mixed-use development known as Harvest Grove, despite town staff recommending approval after multiple revisions. Council members cited concerns over density, traffic, and preserving the San Tan Character Area, even as the developer reduced units, adjusted site design and committed to infrastructure and economic investments.
