Metro Phoenix sees surge in adaptive reuse apartments

Metro Phoenix is experiencing a rapid rise in adaptive reuse housing, with more than 2,400 apartments underway from converted offices and hotels. About 70% of these future units are coming from former office buildings, including major redevelopments like Kierland Sky and the Canyon Corporate Center conversion. Nationally, adaptive reuse development has hit a record 181,000 units, driven largely by office-to-housing makeovers.
