NAIOP, the commercial real estate development trade association, officially became the Commercial Real Estate Development Association on July 1, dropping a name that no longer reflected its membership’s scope. The organization now represents more than 21,000 members across 55 North American chapters active in multifamily, industrial, office, retail, data centers and mixed-use development. The rebranding is the result of a multiyear research process including member surveys, focus groups and strategic planning.
