Phoenix and Maricopa County have launched an eviction diversion pilot offering up to two months of rental assistance to income-qualified tenants in four ZIP codes with the highest eviction rates — 85008, 85040, 85041, and 85042. The program is designed to intervene before cases enter the court system, with payments going directly to property owners and case management provided by the City of Phoenix. Success in the pilot could lead to expansion across the county.
