The Wayne, a 100-unit townhome rental community in Chandler, has broken ground. Multifamily builder Porter Kyle expects to deliver the first units in spring 2026, with a project total cost of $60 million.
There is strong demand for rental homes in the desirable Chandler area, according to Taylor Shultz, partner at Porter Kyle.
“This project is expected to benefit from the high barriers to entry of this exclusive Phoenix submarket,” Shultz said.
The nearest comparable development is nearly 10 miles away, according to the developer.
The community will include one- to three-bedroom rental homes with two-car garages and private backyards. Amenities will include a clubhouse, coworking space, private offices, a gym, a pool, an outdoor kitchen, a trail system and a dog park.
“Limited new supply in Chandler and the surrounding East Valley submarkets position The Wayne for great long-term success,” Shultz said.
