South Phoenix Affordable Housing Community Breaks Ground

South Phoenix Affordable Housing Community Breaks Ground

Ulysses Development Group has broken ground on Salt River Flats 2, a 168-unit affordable housing community in Phoenix for families and individuals earning up to 60% of area median income, with Governor Katie Hobbs attending the ceremony. The project is funded through federal low-income housing tax credits, tax-exempt bonds from the Arizona Industrial Development Authority, and State Housing Trust Funds, with completion expected in early 2028. The development sits directly west of Salt River Flats, which opened in spring 2024 with 196 units.
