Azon, which makes Taser stun guns, is getting into the building business. In 2020, it bought about 74 acres of land at an auction where it plans to construct a new headquarters. It also is proposing to add more than 2,500 apartments in six five-story buildings on the site as well as a hotel, retail and restaurants. The project will have a “campus feel,” according to documents submitted to Scottsdale, and intends to serve Axon’s employees.
