Yuma Advances Plan For 200 Affordable Apartments

The Yuma City Council is weighing an ordinance that would authorize its housing authority to acquire land for a 200-unit affordable apartment community called Vista Apartments. Structured through a nonprofit partnership and Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, the project aims to reduce housing insecurity and support workforce retention without direct city financial liability. Final council action is scheduled for Feb. 18.
